These 50 basic Pilates exercises are easy to do for beginners and fun for advanced praticioners. They form a great source for making your own Pilates workout. They are basic variations of the famous Pilates mat exercises. If you have done Pilates before, these exercises will provide you with a fresh way of doing the classic mat exercises. Small leg lift
Pelvic stability and light ab exercise. Works wel against lower back pain. Great for posture as well.
Glutes leg circle
We try to activate the glutes with a steady pelvis. Great Pilates exercise for the lower back. A bit tricky!
High Side Plank
Powerfull exercise for training the side of the body. Especially works well for strengthening the shoulders.
Hardcore Pilates ab exercise! Great for pelvic stability and for a total ab workout. Try to hold stable.
Pilates shoulder stability exercises. Works very well on strengthening the shoulders. Three different variations are given.
Upper roll up
With this Pilates roll up for the upper spine you’re traning not to use the neck muscles. Use the abs!
Throw the legs
Tricky Pilates lower abs exercise. We will try to move the legs back working from the lower abs instead of the legs.
Heavy Pilates ab exercise! We try to hold the hands still while the legs move. Variation of the Straight leg stretch.
Double leg lift
Pilates lower abs exercise. The fast lifting of bost legs while bringing the arms forward gives a great ab impuls.
Lower back leg lift
Pilates lower back and back leg exercise that works all the way towards the upper back. Great for body connection.
